Candles for Dad 2023
A Pre-Father's Day Event

Father’s Day can be challenging for many people whose dads, or father figures, are no longer physically present because of death or abandonment.
Imagine navigating your first Father’s Day without your dad or your 40th one that’s still as painful or numbing as the first one.
The day can also challenge fathers who have buried a child(ren) or given them up for adoption.
What if Father’s Day 2023 and beyond was more joyful than painful or sad?
How can you turn your pain into peace and heal your broken heart while missing your dad?
There is room in your heart for both, even though it may not feel like it.

What if you knew how to honor, celebrate, and remember your dad every day versus one day a year?
This pre-Father’s Day event will answer each of these questions and more.
I will share my story about my relationship with my dad, how the deaths of my grandfathers impacted me, and how helping people on their grief journey became my life’s work.
Whether you had a loving or less-than-loving relationship with your dad during her life, this event will provide a welcoming atmosphere where you’ll learn from each other and feel heard, seen, and valued without criticism, analysis, or judgment.
Tears are welcome, and please bring your tissues. We’ll share our dad’s favorite dessert, color, song, Bible verse, hobby, or favorite memory.
And we will showcase our dads in a slide show if you send in a photo no later than June 14, 2023.
Register early, and please share the link with anyone you know.
